  1. Thanks for the links!

Also, will you be doing a post/rant on the ruling on prostitution? I don't even know where to start, but it's sickens me that the Ontario Court decides to cater to pimps/johns and THREE dominatrixes/madames (or should I say, overprivileged handmaidens?) who don't even represent the vast majority of prostituted women -- especially Aboriginal women... I can only hope this goes to the Supreme Court where HOPEFULLY it can be countered. Otherwise, I am out of this country and will go to Sweden after graduating. >:P

  3. Oh, and another thing...

I hope you don't mind me asking you a favour, but can you please help advertise this protest against the Bedford Case ruling? It's found here: http://www.facebook.com/events/328899060497103/. Aboltionist/feminist groups and formerly prostituted persons who planned this need a lot of help and support, so it would be greatly appreciated if they can get more people to come. I myself plan on being there!

  4. I don't know if i could address it as well as this post on the f-word does -- but i am, as you would probably guess, finding this ruling very problematic. It also ignores women who are on the street, the more vulnerable women who do not go into brothels, what about them? the legislation seems to be more concerned with providing men more access while not helping the women involved, particularly those on the streets. I doubt, however, that it will make it past the supreme court. This is the first i have heard of a protest but i will check it out asap!!
